Essential Oil Extraction Recipes
If you are interested in essential oil extraction but don’t know where to begin, we have several recipes here of mixtures you might find interesting. We have a list of methods you can use in the EssenEx as a resource for learning how to extract your own oils. These also provide a great opportunity to get started with the essential oil maker!
Even if you’re familiar with essential oil extraction and are simply interested in trying out a new recipe, please feel free to use our oil extraction processes. Our essential oil maker is designed in a way so that it protects the condensate from overheating, which in turn maintains the quality of your extracted oil.
DIY Oil Recipes
Our essential oil recipes include citrus, geranium, lavender, oregano, peppermint, spearmint, rosemary, etc. However, these are the ones that we have personally tested with our own essential oil maker; there are other types of plants to experiment with as well. We recommend that you use fresh plants, as these produce the best results.

Essential Oil Extraction Kits

Extra Ice Cores are key for those interested in doing multiple extractions per day. This kit has Five Complete Sets, and one Silicone pad. Each set includes a stand, Ice Mold, Ice pin with anchor nut, white separator disk and white foam insulator. After 24 hours in the freezer the White Insulator Foam and Separator Disk are removed, and it is screwed into the knob above the lid. Then the clear ice mold is removed and you are ready to condense. The Disk & Insulator recess into the Ice Mold to “center” the Ice Core Pin within the mold.

About OilExTech
Our company was established in 2012 by Bill Dean and David Hackleman and got its start as a research project at OSU, by focusing on small-scale oil extraction. Dean and Hackleman, along with three graduate students, discovered an efficient method of essential oil extraction using microwave ovens. From there, the men began a two and a half year development process until the kits developed into what they are today.
